Search Engine Visibility
Web sites should be easy to find in search engines.
After all, there’s no point in having a web site if nobody can find it.
Developing with accessibility in mind has the added benefit of making sites search engine friendly. This is because the features that make web sites accessible to visually impaired users also make them accessible to search engine data harvesters, making it easy for search engines to find, index, and understand your site.
If your web site is designed and coded for accessibility, then as long as you attract links to your site it will be visible in the search engine results pages.
With this approach, I have been able to place websites at the top of Google’s results pages for queries returning over 12,000,000 results.
